Exploring Paros

Paros is a small island in the Cyclades region of Greece.

The island is easy to reach from Athens by ferry, and is a great starting point for island hopping in the Aegean Sea. We used Blue Star Ferries because they run daily service to the island, even in the winter. We chose it to avoid crowds in places like Mykonos and Santorini, but little did we know, we had the island all to ourselves. We would absolutely return because we were blown away by the hospitality shown to us from the Parian locals.

One of the best ways to explore an island is by motorbike, especially when you can rent one for just ten euros a day. So when you don’t feel like getting on yet another bus, pick up a bike from a local shop and go for a ride.
