Diamond Creek

Diamond Creek is a popular trout fishing spot near Glenorchy.

A 15 minute drive from Glenorchy, Diamond Creek is easy to reach and has some great views. We made a quick stop to fly fish, as it is known to be a great fishing spot, but came up empty handed. Needless to say, the views were still totally worth a trudge through the mud.

The trail from the carpark follows Diamond Creek to Lake Reid. The track can be boggy and soft, but boasts stunning views of Paradise and the Dart Valley.

Time: 45 minutes one way
